Louisiana Fortify Home Program (LFHP)
Business Need
The LDI needed to quickly create a system for administering the Louisiana Fortify Homes Program. The Fortify Homes Program grants money to homeowners who update their home’s roof to comply with the Fortify Homes, Fortified Roof standard. The system needed a component for homeowners to apply, which enabled follow-up with secure communication with LDI staff, and an internal component for LDI staff to process applications. Additionally, the system needed a complete internal workflow to process grant applications, and it needed to be extensible for future enhancements and growth.
Our Approach
We worked closely with LDI stakeholders to develop a process for accepting and administering grant applications, along with a workflow for the entire process. Using agile methodologies, the development team created the Fortify Homes System to meet all requirements within the compressed timeline.
Key Features
A full user portal for applicants to submit their application and communicate with LDI staff, system interfaces with internal LDI systems and workflows, and responsive design to enable it to function on a variety of devices, including phones.
