INDUSTRY ACCESS PORTAL
Business Need
The LDI Industry Access Portal is a password-protected system that enables over 240,000 producers, adjusters, and companies regulated by the LDI to perform necessary functions such as tax filings, addressing complaints, filing yearly reports, renewing licenses, and updating biographical information. The LDI needed to update their existing Industry Access Portal to better serve the needs of their industry users as well as LDI staff. The old Portal caused user frustration due to slow system response time. Other enhancements to the Portal included a more intuitive user interface, a responsive design to enable use on mobile devices, and a more robust and comprehensive online help system.
Our Approach
To realize LDI project goals and reduce project risk, Tri-Core worked very closely with the LDI staff to analyze all requirements and create a detailed project plan and schedule to meet their needs. Agile development processes, in union with constant LDI stakeholder interaction, enabled the development team to create an Industry Access Portal which exceeded all of LDI’s requirements.
Key Features
System response time of less than 2 seconds even under heavy load, system interface responsiveness for mobile usage, improved system security, streamlined internal processes which reduced the number of system screens and options, a robust user help system and a webinar to aid new users.
